ERIE-sistable
It's not the Flag Ship Niagra (but it'll do for now!) This page is dedicated to our trip to Erie Pennsylvania where we spent a day at Presque Isle State Park, learning about the early history of the park and it's constant changes that the modern world has forced upon it. If you scroll down enough you can see pictures of our little excursion, and us really handsome devils. SO kick back and relax, put your tray table in the upright position, and get your feet off that freshly clean table young man as we shouw you the treasure that is Presque Isle State Park. (And the Maritime Muesam)

This is the Presque Isle Light House. It's 57 feet high, at the steel balcony. This light itself is 63 feet above the ground. The overall height of the tower with the ventillator ball is 70+ feet. The lighthous is constructed of 5 course thick brick. 78 iron steps lead up to the main lantern room. The tower is built on a house that was once and still is a local residence. It is constucted of thick, heavy-duty, limestone. Keepers of the lighthouse where only paid $520 a year. Keepers had to be the first to respond to emergencies, shipwrecks, ect, and had to stay there and take care of the tower year round.
